Non-profit website redesign on Squarespace

“Jessica was hired to redesign our website. She had all the skills and behaviors that we could have asked for. She was technically competent, creative, patient, and a good communicator. We weren't the easiest of clients, especially as we had a handover of responsibility mid-stream and due to our issues, the project took much longer than planned. Jessica made our site beautiful, simplified the user experience, and provided training for our team. Since she handed over the site, we haven't had any issues. I reccomend her without reservation."

The Case
Westport Garden Club’s existing website, built on Squarespace 7.0, was visually outdated and increasingly difficult for members to manage. Updating content—especially adding new events to the homepage—required editing raw code or manually working with clunky text blocks. The club needed a more modern, streamlined site that would better reflect its vibrant community and allow for easy updates by non-technical users. Improving visual appeal while simplifying content management was the key goal.
The Solution
We delivered a clean, modern redesign that prioritizes ease of use for the club’s members. The new website features an intuitive backend, enabling effortless updates to events and content without needing to touch code. Thoughtful use of photography—highlighting seasonal blooms and smiling club members—brings the site to life and reflects the club’s welcoming, community-driven spirit. Clear navigation, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility best practices ensure the site serves both members and visitors alike.
