The Case
Gyllene Hjärtat Awards is hosted by the Film & TV branch of the Swedish Union for Stage and Film. They needed a website that captured the exclusive and prestigious feel of the award while clearly presenting information about the initiative, news updates, a timeline, archives, and ways to get involved.
The Solution
To capture the elegance of an awards gala, I designed a visually refined website with a light, luxurious base using soft whites and pale grays, complemented by gold accents and deep navy blue highlights. The blue elements — inspired by velvet and eveningwear — were used sparingly to create contrast and draw attention to key sections like hero imagery, countdowns, and medal visuals.
Typography and layout were chosen to create a sense of ceremony while remaining highly readable. I created a custom menu to give the navigation a smooth, mobile-friendly experience, styled to align with the visual tone of the rest of the site. Throughout, graphic lines and shapes derived from the logo added visual cohesion.
The final result is a sophisticated and accessible platform that enhances the identity of the Gyllene Hjärtat Awards and supports ongoing engagement from the film and TV community.
